The Pride employee resource group (ERG) works to serve beyond Argo and into communities by partnering with Community Resource Committees (CRCs), employee-led groups that organize colleagues to volunteer with local organizations.
- Pride ERG members volunteer for causes in their free time. “Many of our members volunteer their own time and money to organizations that are making a tangible difference in LGBTQ+ communities across the country,” says Blake Rogers, Office Services Manager and Pride ERG Lead. “As members and allies of a community that continues to face adversity, our contributions, in tandem with Argo’s CRCs, are helping make our country safer and more equitable for people of all identities.”
- CRCs have supported organizations they first learned of through Pride members. The Thrive Youth Center in San Antonio, The Night Ministry in Chicago and CAMBA in New York are all organizations CRCs now support thanks to Pride members’ recommendations.
- The collaboration is a way for Argo to support causes that matter to colleagues. “I’m grateful to work for a company that helps support the causes that are important to me,” says Jennifer Mendez, Director, Digital Marketing Communications, CRC member and Pride ERG member. “By working together, we’re able to make a bigger impact in the community.”
